_Living          Brooklyn

How are individual buildings perceived in the urban landscape?  What role do buildings play for those who do not occupy them, and what living condition does downtown Brooklyn need?
Located in Downtown Brooklyn, this tower proves both living and work environments to the area.  Its unique form stands in stark contrast to its context.  Where you look and expect to see a building, it simply isn’t there.  The building holds to the ends of the site creating a tensions void at the buildings center.
The towers are composed of two story living units with multiple bedrooms and large shared spaces.  The towers have nested work spaces to give the occupants the option to work from their unit, or with others in communal and collaborative work spaces that occur throughout the tower, many of which face towards the inconspicuous void that occupies the center of the larger tower.
